On March 26-28, 2025, at Thailand Science Park, Pathum Thani Province<\/span><\/p>

The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC) showcased its research highlights on AI in Energy at the NAC2025 exhibition, featuring key projects, including \u201cPromoting the Application and Life Cycle Management of Electric Vehicle Development in Thailand.\u201d This project focuses on developing public transportation systems using electric vehicles in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) area, supported by the Global Environment Facility Round 7 (GEF 7). The project includes seven sub-projects:<\/span><\/p>

  1. Development of EV minibuses to replace traditional songthaews for the EEC area (E-Songthaew) \u2013 led by MTEC<\/span><\/li>
  2. Installation of EV charging stations using solar cells as a co-power source) \u2013 led by ENTEC<\/span><\/li>
  3. Study and demonstration of battery management concepts for used EV batteries \u2013 led by ENTEC<\/span><\/li>
  4. Development of personnel and Training for EV maintenance and related equipment maintenance in the EEC area-led by NECTEC<\/span><\/li>
  5. Support for transitioning transportation service providers from traditional minibuses to EV minibuses \u2013 led by MTEC<\/span><\/li>
  6. Development of applications to support public EV usage<\/span><\/li>
  7. Preparation of summary reports and a White Paper<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

    In addition, ENTEC displayed collaborative work with the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) on the development of “FGD Plaster,” which can be used to produce a cost-effective, high-quality gypsum board that meets TIS 219-2552 standards. These gypsum boards help reduce dust emissions and lower costs, showcasing the impact of industry collaboration on society and communities. Both innovations were exhibited at the Grand Hall of the Thailand Science Park Conference Center.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

    Dr. Sumittra Charojrochkul, Executive Director of ENTEC, also used this opportunity to organize exhibition spaces showcasing outstanding works from the Low Carbon Energy Research Group at the ENTEC Pilot Plant building. The exhibits included EnPAT, an innovative safe transformer oil made from Thai palm oil, developed to prevent fires caused by exploding transformers and extend transformer lifespan in the electrical energy sector. Another innovation on display was bio-grease developed from palm oil, which is biodegradable and environmentally friendly. Both research projects emphasize development for public safety, creating added economic value for the agricultural sector, and pursuing carbon neutrality in the manufacturing industry.

    <\/span>Another significant exhibition area featured Battery-Swapping innovation, a standardized battery pack platform for electric motorcycles, displayed at the Energy Storage Technology Research Laboratory on the 6th floor of INC2 Tower B. This demonstrated Thailand\u2019s technological readiness to elevate its modern automotive industry through the \u201cThailand Battswap\u201d consortium. Dr. Sumittra, ENTEC\u2019s Executive Director, served as an honorary speaker, providing briefings and personally guiding VIPs\/CEOs from private sector partners through all exhibition areas.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
