On April 2, 2025, at the Sapphire 203 Room, 2nd Floor, IMPACT Forum, Muang Thong Thani<\/span><\/p>

Dr. Sumittra Charojrochkul, Executive Director of the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC) and Director of the Thailand Electric Vehicle Center of Excellence (TECE) under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), delivered a keynote address at the Next-Gen Thai Automotive & Parts Seminar. The event, held as part of the 46th Bangkok International Motor Show, explored the evolving landscape of the automotive and auto parts industries, focusing on the impact of modern automotive technologies.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Dr. Sumittra welcomed participants and shared insights into the future of the Thai automotive industry, highlighting the crucial role of TECE in driving the development of electric vehicles (EVs) in Thailand. During the Highlight Session: \u201cUpdate on the Future of Thai Automotive with TECE,\u201d she discussed the latest initiatives aimed at fostering the growth of electric mobility.\u00a0

In addition, TECE organized a panel discussion titled \u201cHow to Catch the Train: How Can Thailand Keep Up with Modern Automotive Technologies?\u201d The session offered new perspectives from industry experts featuring:
<\/span>– Mr. Surapong Meantmitr, Deputy Director General of the Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTP)
<\/span>– Mr. Suroj Sangsnit, President of the Electric Vehicle Association of Thailand (EVAT)
<\/span>– Dr. Thanakarn Wongdeethai, Strategist at the National Science Technology and Innovation Policy Office (STI)
<\/span>– Mrs. Jaruda Panthusane, Chair of the Committee on Electric Vehicle Working Group, The Thai Automotive Industry Association (TAIA)

The session was moderated by Dr. Pimpa Limthongkul, Director of the Energy Innovation Research Group at ENTEC, NSTDA, and President of the Thai Energy Storage Technology Association (TESTA), who is also the chairperson of the Thailand Standard Swappable Battery Consortium for Small e-Mobility.<\/span><\/p>

The event also featured an exhibition showcasing the latest research on electric vehicles from MTEC, NECTEC, ENTEC, and TECE. It highlighted EV standard testing services and consultations for entrepreneurs provided by ITAP and NIA..
