The collapse resulted from severe seismic vibrations caused by a major earthquake on 28 March 2025. The ceremony was presided over by senior executives of the Department at the Narisaranusorn Meeting Room, Department of Public Works and Town &amp; Country Planning.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">On this occasion, Dr. Supaporn Wansom, a researcher from the Clean Fuel and Advanced Chemistry Research Team, Low Carbon Energy Research Group, National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), received a plaque of recognition as a member of the Construction Materials Quality Inspection Task Force. This task force is one of six working committees under the official investigation panel into the SAO building collapse. The research team applied its expertise in advanced materials analysis, in-depth chemical and physical property testing, and analytical inspection techniques to assess the quality and standards compliance of construction materials related to the building\u2019s structural components.
