On March 16, 2026, at Oyika Experience Centre, Bangkok.
The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), led by Mr. Peerawat Saisirirat, Leader of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Research Team and research staffs, together with a UN Habitat delegation, were honored to be invited by Oyika (Thailand) Limited to serve as speakers and participants in a visit to the Oyika Experience Centre in Bangkok.
The Oyika Experience Centre, a flagship technical showroom for Oyika, was established to showcase electric motorcycle technologies for both two-wheeled and three-wheeled vehicles. The event featured a series of presentations on topics related to electric motorcycle technology, as follows:
- Battery Swapping: Oyika has developed battery compatibility with 95% of electric motorcycle brands currently available in the market, enabling fast and efficient battery exchange.
- OPUS (Oyika Power Up Station): OPUS, a service station, was launched with both battery swapping and direct fast charge capabilities, supporting 60V and 72V systems to accommodate fast service and maximize user convenience.
- Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) Model: This model addresses three principal challenges associated with electric motorcycle adoption, namely range anxiety, extended charging times, and high battery acquisition costs. Given that the battery unit may account for up to half of the total vehicle price, the decoupling of battery costs from the upfront purchase price renders the transition to electric vehicles significantly more accessible and financially viable for consumers.
ENTEC remains committed to collaborating with both domestic and international partners to advance efficient and environmentally sustainable energy technologies in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This collaboration represents a significant milestone in Thailand’s transition toward a low-carbon society.
