From June 16-21, 2024, at AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong
Dr. Pimpa Limthongkul, Director of Energy Innovation Research Group, the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC) under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), along with researchers, Dr. Ukrit Sahapatsombutand and Dr. Nattanai Kunanusont, participated and presented their works at the 22nd International Meeting on Lithium Batteries (IMLB 2024). The event brought together researchers, academics, and company representatives involved in the lithium battery field. This international meeting provided an exciting forum to discuss recent progress in advanced lithium batteries for energy storage and conversion. Discussions focused on recent advances in lithium battery research, both in fundamental and applied research that has led to improved lithium battery materials and an understanding of fundamental processes that determine and control electrochemical performance.
During the event, Professor Akira Yoshino, a Japanese chemist and Nobel Prize in Chemistry awardee, and one of the inventors of Lithium-ion batteries gave a speech on “The Future Society Engendered by Lithium ion Battery.” In the poster session, ENTEC’s representatives, Dr. Pimpa presented on “Hollow-Structured TiO2, SnO2/S composite as Cathode for Lithium-sulfur Batteries”, Dr. Ukrit presented on “Synthesized hard carbon from agricultural waste as an anode for sodium-ion batteries”, and Dr. Nattanai presented on “Direct Regeneration of NMC811 Harvested from Aged Li-ion Batteries via Solid-state Reaction”. Additionally, Dr. Pimpa participated in a networking dinner to discuss collaboration opportunities, knowledge exchange, and research insights in the field of lithium batteries.
