Dr. Lily Eurwilaichitr, Assistant Director of the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), NSTDA, was invited to present on “Advancing Bioeconomy Growth: Thailand’s BCG Model and ASEAN Cooperation.” Her presentation highlighted Thailand’s BCG policy, its implementation, and NSTDA’s role in advancing the bio-circular-green economy (BCG) within Thailand and across the ASEAN region.

The Global Bioeconomy Summit (GBS), a premier international gathering of bioeconomy leaders from diverse backgrounds and continents, was hosted for the first time outside of Europe, in Nairobi, Kenya. GBS2024 emphasized resilient and sustainable food systems, the bioeconomy as a crucial model for transitioning to economies less dependent on fossil fuels, biodiversity conservation, and the use of innovation as a driver for new economic opportunities.
