ENTEC, NSTDA, hosts Progress Review Meeting on Biobased Non-Flammable Transformer Oil Development project

On November 5, 2024, Meeting Room M506, National Metal and Materials Technology Center Building, NSTDA

National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), led by Dr. Boonyawan Yoosuk, Team leader of the Clean Fuel Technology and Advanced Chemistry Research Team (CFCT), convened a project progress meeting to review the project with stakeholders. The meeting focused on assessing the outcomes of Phase 2 and the planning of Phase 3 of the project titled “Development of a Biobased Non-Flammable Transformer Oil from Palm Oil and Integrated Field-Testing Pilot for Sustainable Commercial Implementation.” Key stakeholders in attendance included representatives from:
– Program Management Unit on Competitiveness (PMUC)
– P.S.P. Specialties Public Company Limited
– Global Green Chemicals Public Company Limited
– Charoenchai Transformer Company Limited
– Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA)
– Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA)
– Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT)
– Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI)
The primary objectives of the meeting were to review project achievements, collect insights and feedback from participating organizations, and discuss detailed implementation plans for Phase 3 of the project. This collaborative effort marks a significant step toward advancing sustainable, biobased solutions within Thailand’s energy sector, aligning with the project’s long-term goals for commercial viability and environmental responsibility.
