2025.07.04 ENTEC, NSTDA Contributes to Hydrogen Innovation Dialogue at ASEW2025 Towards Thailand’s Clean Energy Future

July 4, 2025 – Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok – The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), NSTDA, took part in the seminar “Hydrogen: Pursuing Sustainable Decarbonization through Innovation in Thailand,” held under the framework of ASEAN Sustainable Energy Week 2025 (ASEW2025). The event was organized by the Hydrogen Thailand Association in collaboration with public and private sector partners to exchange insights and experience on hydrogen development in Thailand.

On this occasion, Dr. Sumitra Charojrochkul, Executive Director of ENTEC, was invited to speak on the topic “Hydrogen Classification and SAF Technology in Thailand.” She addressed hydrogen classification by source (e.g., green, blue, grey hydrogen) and highlighted Thailand’s potential in developing Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) using biotechnology and renewable energy, which plays a vital role in achieving the country’s Net Zero Emission targets.

The seminar featured distinguished speakers from Thai energy authorities such as the Energy Policy and Planning Office (EPPO) and Department of Energy Business, as well as international representatives including AOTS Bangkok Office and the AMIECC Secretariat from Japan. Leading private sector participants included PTT Public Company Limited, Sahaviriya Steel Industries, Toyota Tsusho (Thailand), and Neuman & Esser South East Asia Ltd.

The event facilitated knowledge sharing on policy, technology, and investment strategies to promote hydrogen use in energy and transport sectors, with over 200 participants from government agencies, academia, and industry.

ENTEC’s participation, as a member of the Hydrogen Thailand Association, reflects its strong commitment to supporting Thailand’s hydrogen ecosystem by bridging research, technology, and policy to position hydrogen as a key solution in the country’s future energy system.
