The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC) NSTDA, has joined an international expert group to develop the PtX and Sustainable Aviation Roadmap for the APAC Region, under the coordination of the Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials Association (RSB).
In this initiative, Dr. Nuwong Chollacoop, Director of the Low Carbon Energy Research Group, and Dr. Visarn Lilavivat, Researcher from the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Research Team, have been invited to participate as experts, providing in-depth technical consultation on Power-to-X (PtX) technologies and Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) to support RSB’s roadmap development for the Asia–Pacific region.
This roadmap has been designed to serve as a practical guidance for countries across the region in scaling up the production and adoption of SAF through Power-to-Liquids (PtL) and Power-and-Biomass-to-Liquids (PBtL) technologies.
Key content of the roadmap covers:
- Policy recommendations for policymakers, financiers, investors, and SAF developers
- Country-specific roles analysis, including Thailand’s position
- Resource availability and technology readiness assessment
- Alignment with the RSB’s certification system to ensure credible and verifiable sustainability
- Opportunities for regional collaboration
This collaboration reflects ENTEC’s role in advancing Thailand’s clean energy knowledge and technologies on the international stage, while supporting the transition toward a more sustainable aviation system for the future.
