The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), NSTDA, hosted a laboratory and research facilities visit for the delegation of the JST NEXUS Y-tec (Young Talents Exchange and Capacity Development Program): Transregional Biofuels Collaboration for Sustainable Transportation.
The visit brought together representatives from domestic and international partner institutions. The ENTEC team was led by Dr. Peerawat Saisirirat, Research Team Leader of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Research Team, together with Dr. Yuji Yoshimura, Dr. Tawan Champeecharoensuk, Dr. Arthit Champeecharoensuk, Mr. Nayos Sirisoot, Mr. Pham Dinh Thao, Mr. Wantana Chaowasin, and Mr. Purinat Ratipornlert.
During the visit, the delegation toured two pilot research facilities, the Premium Biodiesel (H-FAME) project and the Hydrogen Research project, which generated discussion on potential research collaboration in hydrogen and clean technology for the transportation and energy sectors.
As part of the program, Dr. Yuji Yoshimura, Visiting Senior Researcher, presented research on the applications of biodiesel (FAME) and premium biodiesel (H-FAME), Mr. Nayos Sirisoot shared research findings on the assessment of biogas reforming process for hydrogen production, while Mr. Pham Dinh Thao presented research on hydrogen fuel cell technology.
