EnPAT Receives the NRCT Award: Outstanding Invention Award for Fiscal Year 2026

The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), is delighted to congratulate to Dr. Boonyawan Yoosuk, Leader of the Clean Fuel and Advanced Chemical Technology Research Team, Low Carbon Energy Research Group, and her research team, in collaboration with researchers from the National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), on receiving the NRCT Award: Outstanding Invention Award for Fiscal Year 2026 in the Engineering and Industrial Research category from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT). The award was granted for the research work entitled:

“EnPAT: Safe Transformer Oil from Thai Oil Palm”

This research represents a significant milestone in advancing Thailand’s oil palm products toward high-value bio-based industries. This innovation reduces dependence on imported petroleum, strengthens long-term energy security, and channels income back to agricultural communities. This work is fully aligned with Thailand’s sustainable economic development goals and the NET ZERO target.

Current Implementation: EnPAT has been successfully scaled up and deployed by the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) and the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA). Transformers filled with EnPAT have been installed and are actively supplying electricity to communities across 10 locations in all regions of Thailand.
