On June 6, 2024. Dr. Pimpa Limthongkul, Director of Energy Innovation Research Group at the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), and President of the Thailand Energy Storage Technology Association (TESTA), attended the press conference for ASEAN Sustainable Energy Week 2024 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. The event announced its readiness to host the largest and most influential energy event in ASEAN under the theme “Enabling a Resilient Clean Energy Transition Towards Net Zero Emissions.”
The event will showcase a comprehensive exhibition and international conference on Renewable Energy, Efficient Energy Utilization, and Energy Storage Technology in the region. The event is scheduled to take place from July 3-5, 2024, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. The press conference was led by Mr. Sanchai Noombunnam, General Manager of Informa Markets Thailand, and Mr. Wattanapong Kurovat, Director General of the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency, (DEDE), Ministry of Energy. The collaboration included leading network partners from both the public and private sectors, such as the Renewable Energy Industry Club of the Federation of Thai Industries (RE-FTI), the Joint Graduate School of Energy and Environment at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (JGSEE), the Electric Vehicle Association of Thailand (EVAT), the Thailand Energy Storage Technology Association (TESTA), and the Kasetsart Agricultural and Agro-Industrial Product Improvement Institute, (KAPI). These partners aim to collectively achieve Thailand’s energy goals towards transitioning to clean energy and net-zero carbon emissions.
