From August 21-23, 2024, at the Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa, Singapore
Dr. Pimpa Limthongkul, Director of Energy Innovation Research Group, the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), NSTDA and President of the Thai Energy Storage Technology Association (TESTA), along with Dr. Nattanai Kunanusont, an ENTEC’s researcher, participated in the 2nd ASEAN Battery & Electric Vehicle Technology Conference (ABTC) 2024. The event took place from August 21-23, 2024, at the Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa in Singapore.
The ABCT 2024 is the second conference of its kind, following the inaugural event held in Bali, Indonesia. The conference serves as a crucial platform for advancing the ASEAN region’s battery and electric vehicle industries, promoting cross-border collaboration and encouraging sustainable practices within the sector.
Dr. Pimpa participated in a panel discussion titled “Navigating ASEAN Government Policies: Current and Future Impact on the EV, ESS and Battery Sectors.” The session brought together researchers, experts and policy makers from across the region to discuss the evolving landscape of government policies and their impact on the electric vehicle, energy storage, and battery sectors.
Dr. Nattanai contributed to a panel discussion on “End of Life/Circularity: ASEAN and Global Trends in Battery End-of-Life Strategies,” which was moderated by Dr. Pimpa. This session provided a platform for exchanging knowledge and exploring research on battery end-of-life management, emphasizing the importance of sustainable and circular practices in the industry.
