During November 24-28, 2024, in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China
National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), led by Dr. Nuwong Chollacoop, Director of Low Carbon Energy Research Group, accompanied by Dr. Visarn Lilavivat, Dr. Korakot Sombatmankhong, Dr. Chaiyuth Sae-kung and Miss Kanokwan Maikaew conducted a series of facility visits following an invitation from the Shanghai Science and Technology Exchange Center (SSTEC). The visit focused on hydrogen technology, with the following key activities:
On November 25, the delegation visited the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SICCAS), which specializes in sodium batteries and redox flow batteries. The delegation was welcomed by Professor Chi Xiaowei, and both parties discussed potential future research collaborations and the possibility of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two organizations.
On November 26, the team toured the facilities of H-RISE and HYTECKOCEAN companies. These companies specialize in developments in fuel cell vehicles, electrolyzers, and hydrogen refueling stations.
On November 27, Dr. Visarn Lilavivat presented Thailand’s progress in hydrogen fuel technology development to Professor Ding Lu from East China University of Science and Technology, an expert in gasifier burner development. The delegation then visited Shanghai Huayi Energy Chemical Co., Ltd. to learn about China’s industrial technology applications.
On November 28, Dr. Nuwong, Dr. Visarn, and Dr. Korakot introduced ENTEC and presented their hydrogen fuel technology research to SSTEC representatives, along with experts from relevant universities and companies. The session aimed at exchanging knowledge and exploring future collaboration opportunities.
