Dr. Sumittra Charojrochkul, Executive Director of the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), NSTDA, along with Dr. Pimpa Limthongkul, Director of the Energy Innovation Research Group, and the research team, attended the 10th JASTIP-WP2 Annual Workshop organized by the Japan-ASEAN Science, Technology, and Innovation Platform (JASTIP) Work Package 2 (WP2) in collaboration with research institutions and universities from Thailand and Japan under the JASTIP initiative. The workshop aimed to summarize project outcomes and discuss collaboration on research, technology, and innovation development.
During the event, various research teams presented the successes of their research projects, focusing on energy, biomass resource development, and the environment. Dr. Witurat Goodwin, a researcher from the Clean Fuel Technology and Advanced Chemistry Research Team, represented ENTEC and presented on the topic “Development of Carbon Materials from Biomass for Energy Storage Applications,” a project under the JASTIP collaboration. Additionally, Ms. Plathong Peerada (representing Dr. Takeshi Abe) from Kyoto University also presented research on lithium-ion battery management technology.
JASTIP, an initiative promoting scientific cooperation between Japan and ASEAN member states, has been instrumental in advancing regional collaboration in science, technology, and innovation, addressing shared challenges and fostering sustainable development.
