On January 20, 2025, at the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA)
ENTEC, led by Dr. Sumittra Charojrochkul, Executive Director, along with research team members Dr. Amornrat Limmanee, Solar Photovoltaic Research Team Leader, and Dr. Visarn Lilavivat, Researcher from the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Research Team, welcomed Budget Bureau officials for a comprehensive laboratory tour of ENTEC’s solar cell and hydrogen innovation facilities located at the NECTEC and MTEC Pilot Plants in Thailand Science Park.
During the visit, Dr. Sumittra highlighted hydrogen innovation research, particularly ENTEC’s groundbreaking biogas-to-hydrogen production technology. These innovations strongly support carbon neutrality goals. Dr. Sumittra also emphasized the collaborative networking between Thai and Japanese Hydrogen Associations, which strengthens the advancement of hydrogen technology as one of the major technologies for clean energy transition.
Dr. Amornrat presented ENTEC’s solar cell research innovation, focusing on establishing performance monitoring and testing standards for used solar panels, as well as developing second-life photovoltaic (PV) applications. Her presentation emphasized efficient solar panel management and recycling strategies. The visit was successful, with Budget Bureau officials showing keen interest and extensively questioning researchers about current research achievements and future plans, expressing their anticipation of continued research funding support for NSTDA.
