From January 20-21, 2025 at the Asia Airport Hotel and Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR)
National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC) of NSTDA, in collaboration with Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR) organized a workshop on “Renewable Energy Technologies and Knowledge Transfer for Strengthening and Achieving ASEAN’s Sustainable Development Goals” for the third consecutive year. The program received support from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA).
ENTEC, led by Dr. Nuwong Chollacoop, Director of Low Carbon Energy Research Group, along with Dr. Yuji Yoshimura, Senior Visiting Researcher, and Dr. Kampanart Silva from the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Research Team participated in the opening ceremony at the Asia Airport Hotel on 20 January 205. During the session, Dr. Kampanart delivered a presentation on “Sustaining SDG through Energy Resilience.”
On the following day at TISTR, Dr. Nuwong gave a lecture on “Achieving SDG through Electric Vehicle (EV) Technology,” focusing on the transition to electric vehicles as an alternative for road transportation.
The workshop attracted representatives from various ASEAN nations, including Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, and Thailand. Its primary objective was to showcase technological developments, research findings, and innovations that highlight the recent technologies and transfer of knowledge, aiming to strengthen capabilities in managing the challenges of the energy transition.
