2025.01.29 ENTEC NSTDA Hosts Workshop on “Overview of Biodiesel Standard – Utilization” Under Third Country Training Programme (TCTP) for the Third Consecutive Year

On January 29, 2025, at National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), NSTDA

National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC) of NSTDA continued its commitment to regional energy development by hosting a workshop on “Overview of Biodiesel Standard – Utilization and Biodiesel Engine Test: Theory.” Led by Dr. Peerawat Saisirirat, Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Research Team Leader, along with his research team, the workshop provided ASEAN participants with comprehensive insights into biodiesel standards, utilization, and engine testing protocols.

In this session, participants engaged in a laboratory tour with hands-on experience at ENTEC’s Biodiesel Engine Test Laboratory, where they conducted practical tests using B100 biodiesel in an engine.

The workshop, now in its third year of successful collaboration between ENTEC and the Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR), represents a significant step forward in regional efforts to advance clean energy solutions. The program had successfully achieved its goals in knowledge transfer and providing practical guidelines for developing biofuel technologies and clean energy solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, the program has strengthened ASEAN’s capacity to tackle energy transition challenges, supporting both national net-zero emission targets and contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs), ensuring universal access to clean, modern, and sustainable energy across the region.
