2025.03.20 ENTEC NSTDA Participates in SATREPS Project Meeting on “Development of Utilization Technology of Rubber Seed for Green Products to Mitigate Global Warming and Plastic Pollution”

On March 20, 2025, at Siam Meeting Room 3, 9th Floor, Mercure Bangkok Siam Hotel

National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), participated in a plenary session preceding the 1st Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) meeting under the SATREPS project on “Development of Utilization Technology of Rubber Seeds for Green Products to Mitigate Global Warming and Plastic Pollution” This initiative is a joint research collaboration between Thailand and Japan, supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), for a period of five years (2024–2029).

This meeting served as a preliminary session before the JCC meeting, aiming to review progress and outline future plans. Representatives from various subtopics presented key updates. Participating institutions from Thailand included NSTDA, Chulalongkorn University, Kasetsart University, and Walailak University, while Japan was represented by Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT), Osaka Metropolitan University, Kyoto Institute of Technology, Nippon Institute of Technology, The University of Tokyo, and University of Hyogo.

ENTEC, in collaboration with National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), plays a crucial role in the project, contributing to two subtopics: 1) Development of utilization technology of RSO in materials and energy applications (Subject 3) and 2) Evaluation of environmental impact using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) (Subject 4). This meeting marked a significant step in advancing energy and environmental technologies, emphasizing efficient resource utilization, environmental impact reduction, and enhancing industrial capabilities to promote sustainability in energy and environment.
