On February 20, 2025, at the CO-113 Auditorium in NSTDA’s Central Building, Dr. Sumittra Charojrochkul, Executive Director of the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), presided over the opening ceremony of the specialized training session, “MATLAB & Simulink for Research Enhancement with AI, Simscape, and Optimization.” This training is part of the project titled “Development of an Electric Vehicle Energy Management Platform for the Logistics Industry to Improve Energy Efficiency in Transport and Create the Future Logistics Industry.” The project is a collaboration between ENTEC and the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC).
On this occasion, Ascendas Systems Thailand granted NSTDA exclusive access to MATLAB software. This unprecedented license, typically reserved for academic institutions, marks NSTDA as the first research organization in Thailand to receive such privileged access, significantly enhancing its research capabilities.
The training curriculum covers a broad spectrum of cutting-edge topics, including fundamentals of MATLAB, advanced simulation techniques and applications, artificial intelligence implementation, deep learning methodologies, and battery technology advancements.
This training represents a significant step forward in advancing Thailand’s research landscape. By equipping researchers with advanced MATLAB skills, ENTEC is fostering an environment of innovation and excellence in technological research. The program not only enhances professional expertise but also promotes collaboration and knowledge-sharing among researchers. It serves as a catalyst for more effective applications of MATLAB in research projects, ultimately contributing to Thailand’s technological development.
