ENTEC, NSTDA showcased its research works at the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy annual academic exhibition. On November 19, 2024, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, visited the exhibition to observe the scholarly contributions of various agencies and educational institutions.
On this occasion, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn granted an audience to Professor Dr. Sukit Limpijumnong, President of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Dr. Nuttaporn Pimpha (Nanotec), Dr. Chatrchai Chandenduang (MTEC), and Dr. Boonyawan Yoosuk (ENTEC).
One of the research projects displayed at the exhibition was “EnPAT,” a biotransformer oil made from Thai palm oil. This project was developed by the Clean Fuel Technology and Advanced Chemistry Research Team at the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), led by Dr. Boonyawan Yoosuk, the research team leader. “EnPAT” is a new type of transformer oil that is environmentally friendly and reduces the risk of explosions. Developed using domestic resources, it features a high flash point of over 300°C and can be converted into biodiesel after its operational life has ended.
