2024.12.16-15 ENTEC, NSTDA in collaborations with The Information Technology Foundation under the Initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, organized the Training Workshop on “Maintenance of Solar Power Generation Systems and Telecommunication Systems”

During December 15-16, 2024, at the Mercure Hotel, Chiang Mai

National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), in collaborations with The Information Technology Foundation under the Initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, organized the second training workshop of 2024 on “Maintenance of Solar Power Generation Systems and Telecommunication Systems” in Chiang Mai. The workshop aimed to develop the skills of personnel in pilot schools under the project. Pol. Col. Padungkiat Pandhornnonnaka, the Commander of Border Patrol Police Battalion 33, was honored to deliver the opening speech. Dr. Aswin Hongsingthong, Head of the ICT for Lifelong Learning Project for Marginalized Communities under the Royal Initiative of The Office of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, served as the main speaker. Mr. Nat Songkram, Head of the Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Promotion Department at the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA), and Mr. Kriangsak Wimoltrairat, Chief Engineer of the Support Operations Division for Communication Systems at Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited, who also participated as speakers.

The training was supported by the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) and included 34 teachers from five Border Patrol Police schools, six schools under the Hilltribe Thai Community Learning Center “Mae Fah Luang”, one school in Mae Hong Son, and eight other schools supported by the Foundation. The participants received training to develop skills in maintaining solar power systems and improving solar power efficiency for use in schools.

Additionally, ENTEC’s research team conducted a workshop on creating self-sufficient LED lighting systems for over 100 households in border communities without access to electricity. The team also carried out inspections and maintenance of solar power systems at Benchama 1 Border Patrol Police School in Chiang Mai from December 19-20, 2024.
