On November 5-6, 2024, at the Berkeley Hotel Pratunam, Bangkok:

National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC) under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), represented by Dr. Nuwong Chollacoop, Director of the Low Carbon Energy Research Group, Dr. Yuji Yoshimura, visiting senior researcher, and Dr. Peerawat Saisirirat, researcher, has been invited to the 28th Small Powertrains and Energy Systems Technology Conference (SETC2024), held from November 4-7, 2024. at the Berkeley Hotel Pratunam,

At the event, Dr. Nuwong Chollacoop and Dr. Yuji Yoshimura participated in a Plenary session titled “What is the Optimal Energy Source for Small Mobility?”, where they presented on “Premium biodiesel approach to achieve carbon neutrality in the internal combustion engine (ICE) system.” The presentation examined the pros and cons of the H-FAME (premium biodiesel) compared to other alternative vehicle technologies, e.g., EV technology and E-fuel. Additionally, Dr. Peerawat Saisirirat chaired the subsession, “Renewable Energy and Alternative Fuels.”

SETC2024 is an internationally renowned technical conference, now it its 28th year, marking its return to Bangkok, since the last event in Bangkok in 2005. This year’s conference theme reflects a commitment to participating in technological evolution, fostering industry, and raising awareness of carbon neutrality.
