On December 13, 2024, National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA)
National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), led by Dr. Lily Eurwilaichitr, Executive Assistant Director, and Dr. Pimpa Limthongkul, Director of the Energy Innovation Research Group, welcomed the Executive Board and staff from the Alliance of International Science Organizations (ANSO) during their visit to the Energy Innovation Research Group’s laboratory on the 6th floor of the Innovation Cluster 2 Building (INC2) at the Thailand Science Park.
During this visit, Dr. Pimpa provided an overview of ENTEC’s Energy Innovation research activities, including advancements in energy storage devices, such as the development of advanced battery materials, carbon materials from biomass for supercapacitors, and the battery swap project for electric motorcycles (Batt Swap). The ANSO Executive Board expressed interest, engaging in discussions and inquiring about the details of these research projects, as well as exchanging insights regarding the research management practices at ENTEC.
Following this, the delegation toured the Clean Fuel Technology and Advanced Chemistry Research Laboratory, where they were welcomed by Ms. Kornrawee Srisawat, a research assistant, who provided information on the Microbial Fuel Cell research project under the CAS-NSTDA collaboration. This visit highlighted the capabilities of Thailand’s research teams and is expected to foster continued research funding and collaboration between ANSO member organizations.
