On October 6, 2025, the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), NSTDA, led by Dr. Sumittra Charojrochkul, Executive Director of ENTEC, Dr. Nuwong Chollacoop, Director of the Low Carbon Energy Research Group, Dr. Peerawat Saisirirat, Team Leader of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Research Team (RENT), together with the research team, continued to drive the advancement of clean energy and greenhouse gas reduction in Thailand’s industrial sector. In collaboration with Sun-Up Recycling Co., Ltd. and its partner, Tokin Electronics (Thailand) Co., Ltd., ENTEC, NSTDA supported the adoption of H-FAME (Hydrotreated Fatty Acid Methyl Ester), a premium-grade biodiesel, for use in transportation processes. This initiative aims to achieve significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions while strengthening environmental and energy sustainability for the country.
This collaboration was honored by the presence of Ms. Nareerat Thanakasem, Director of Capacity Building and Outreach Office, TGO and Dr. Tomohiko Kato, Chief Representative of Asian Representative Office in Bangkok, NEDO, who were present as witnesses.
This achievement has been possible through research funding support from the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), in collaboration with ENTEC, NSTDA. This partnership is driving the advancement of low-carbon fuel technologies into real industrial applications, while also strengthening the capacity of Thai businesses to implement ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) practices in a tangible and impactful manner.
