The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC) and the National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), led by Dr. Nuwong Chollacoop, Director of the Low Carbon Energy Research Group, together with the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Research Team, and Ms. Wanwisa Thanungkano, Senior Research Assistant from the Technology and Informatics Institute for Sustainability (TIIS), and her team, were honored to be invited by Toyota Motor Asia (Thailand) to serve as speakers and participants in the Biogas Workshop, held on 17 February 2026 at the Energy Research and Development Institute – Nakornping, Chiang Mai University (ERDI-CMU).
The Biogas Workshop was jointly organized through the collaboration of 7 organizations: Toyota Motor Asia (Thailand), Toyota Motor Corporation, ERDI-CMU, Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CPF), Tohoku University, ENTEC, and MTEC. The workshop aimed to disseminate knowledge, share experiences, and present research findings on biogas technology, renewable energy management, and the application of clean energy technologies in the automotive and energy sectors. The event also fostered knowledge exchange among research institutions, academia, and industry partners.
The workshop featured presentations on various topics related to biogas, including:
Toyota Motor Corporation: Strategies and Activities toward Carbon Neutral
CPF: Enhancement of Biogas Production from Broiler Chicken Manure by Additives and Temperature Control
ERDI-CMU: Laboratory-scale Investigation for Technology Development in Biomethane Production from Chicken Manure and Corn Stover
Tohoku University: Overview of the Latest Research on Biogas Technology
ENTEC และ MTEC: Life-Cycle Assessment of Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Products derives from the Anaerobic Fermentation of Chicken Farm Waste
Biogas Workshop collaboration reflects ENTEC’s role as a research organization that tangibly bridges academia, industry, and international partners. ENTEC remains committed to working alongside both domestic and international partners to advance efficient and environmentally friendly energy technologies in alignment with sustainable development goals. This collaboration marks another significant step forward in driving Thailand toward a low-carbon society in the future.
