2026.03.09 ENTEC Joins NSTDA Press Conference for NAC2026, Highlighting “Sustainable Economy through Science and Technology” to Drive Thailand toward a Low-Carbon Economy

On March 9, 2026, at the Press Conference Room, 1st Floor, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), Phaya Thai District, Bangkok

Professor Dr. Sukit Limpijumnong, President of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), and Associate Professor Dr. Toemsak Srikhirin, Executive Director of the National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), NSTDA, as Conference Organizing Chair, together with NSTDA executives and research teams, Ms. Oranuch Lerdsuwankij, and Co-founder of Techsauce Media Co., Ltd., and partners, joined the press conference announcing the 21st NSTDA Annual Conference (NAC2026) under the theme “Sustainable Economy through Science and Technology.”

The conference will be held from April 24–28, 2026, at Thailand Science Park, Pathum Thani Province. The event aims to serve as a national platform to showcase ready-to-use research and innovation that can help drive Thailand toward a low-carbon economy and support the country’s sustainable development toward carbon neutrality (Net Zero).

On the opening day, Friday, 24 April 2026, from 09.00 AM – 12.00 PM, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn will graciously preside over the opening ceremony of the event at Thailand Science Park.

On this occasion, the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), NSTDA, participated in the press conference and presented its highlighted innovation, “H-FAME Premium Biodiesel for Low-Carbon Transport,” a biofuel innovation, developed by ENTEC in collaboration with international and public-sector partners. H-FAME can be used as a drop-in fuel replacement for conventional diesel fuel in heavy-duty trucks and diesel-powered machinery without engine modification.

Dr. Peerawat Saisirirat, Leader of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Research Team, Low Carbon Energy Research Group, presented that H-FAME serves as an effective transition fuel, offering high oxidative stability while helping reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the transportation sector. Importantly, it can be deployed without requiring new infrastructure investments, making it well suited for the transition period toward Net-Zero while supporting the development of a clean energy system for Thailand’s transport and logistics sectors in a practical and sustainable manner.

In addition, the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), NSTDA, will organize a highlight academic seminar entitled “Driving Thailand toward a Low-Carbon Economy: Financial Policy and Innovation for a Sustainable Transition” on Friday, 24 April 2026, from 13.30 – 16.30 hrs. The session will serve as a platform for policymakers, financial institutions, industry leaders, and researchers to exchange perspectives on advancing financial mechanisms and innovative solutions that support Thailand’s transition toward a low-carbon economy.

Interested participants are cordially invited to attend the 21st NSTDA Annual Conference (NAC2026), which will be held from 24–28 April 2026 at Thailand Science Park, Pathum Thani.
