ENTEC hosts laboratory visit for Mitsui Chemicals Crop & Life Solutions, Inc. and Osaka University

On August 26, 2024, at Room M119, MTEC building at Thailand Science Park

Dr. Lily Eurwilaichitr, Assistant Executive Director of ENTEC, along with Dr. Chaiyuth SaeKung, Researcher of the Clean Fuel Technology and Advanced Chemistry Research Lab, ENTEC and members of the BIOTEC research team, welcomed the visiting delegation from Mitsui Chemicals Crop & Life Solutions, Inc. (MCCLS) and ICBiotech, Osaka University, Japan, and discussed potential research collaborations.

During this visit, Dr. Lily introduced ENTEC and NSTDA. Then, Dr. Norikazu Higashimura, a senior researcher from MCCLS presented an overview of the company and their research interests. Following this, Dr. Chanwit Suriyachadkun, head of the Microbial Diversity and Utilization Research Team, presented research on biodiversity and its utilization, Dr. Alongkorn Amnuaykanjanasin, head of the Biocontrol Technology Research Team introduced the research and development of bio-products for pest control and Dr. Chaiyuth presented on the development of bio-surfactants from palm oil for pest control applications.

The MCCLS research team showed interest in ENTEC and BIOTEC’s research, asking questions and exchanging ideas. The visited labs also included Thailand Bioresource Research Center (TBRC) and the Biocontrol Technology Research Laboratory. This event marked an excellent opportunity to establish future collaborations and a cooperative network.
