ENTEC NSTDA organized a series of training conferences as part of the “Capability Building for Energy Transition” program for the Office of Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC)

The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC) under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), organized a series of training conferences as part of the “Capability Building for Energy Transition” program for the Office of Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC). This program aims to enhance capabilities and prepare Thailand for future energy transitions, aligning with national policies to achieve Carbon Neutrality goal by 2050 and the Net Zero Emission target by 2065.

Led by Dr. Sumittra Charojrochkul, Executive Director of ENTEC, along with Dr. Nuwong Chollacoop, Director of the Low Carbon Energy Research Group, and Dr. Visarn Lilawiwat, Researcher, the ENTEC team developed and organized the training series to equip ERC personnel with knowledge of breakthrough energy technologies. The goal is to foster a deeper understanding of energy innovations and emerging trends in future energy technologies.

The team facilitated meetings and site visits both in Thailand and abroad, gaining strategic insights firsthand. Notable visits included Thailand’s first hydrogen refueling prototype station for fuel cell electric vehicles, SVOLT Energy Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd., University of Yamanashi, TEPCO Komekurayama solar photovoltaic power plant, JERA Yokohama power plant, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), ENEOS company, and Fukushima Hydrogen Energy Research Field (FH2R).

This program offers a valuable opportunity to engage with leading agencies and companies, fostering future collaboration and network building at both domestic and international levels.
