National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), led by Dr. Sumittra Charojrochkul, Executive Director, Dr. Pimpa Limthongkul, Director of the Energy Innovation Research Group, Dr. Nuwong Chollacoop, Director of the Low Carbon Energy Research Group, and Dr. Jiravan Mongkoltanatas, ENTEC researcher, participated in the 10th IEEE International Smart Cities Conference (IEEE ISC2 2024) held at the Royal Cliff Grand Hotel in Pattaya, Chonburi Province.
During the seminar, Dr. Sumittra participated in a panel discussion on “Hydrogen as an Alternative Green Energy Carrier.” Following that, Dr. Pimpa and Dr. Jiravan discussed “Energy Storage System Roles for Smart Cities,” while Dr. Nuwong contributed to the topic “Envisioning Future Convergence: Embracing Smart City Innovations for Sustainable and Livable Urban Solutions,” alongside experts from various sectors, including universities, government agencies, and leading private companies.
The IEEE Smart Cities Conference was held for the first time in Thailand and the ASEAN region under the theme “Smart Cities: Revolution for Mankind.” The event included academic sessions and exhibitions showcasing cutting-edge smart city technologies and innovations. Experts, researchers, and smart city developers from around the world gathered to develop strategies and exchange knowledge and experiences for the future development of smart cities.
