On 22 June 2026, the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), NSTDA, led by Dr. Nuwong Chollacoop, Acting Deputy Executive Director of ENTEC, welcomed a study visit delegation from the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP) Indonesia, together with representatives from the Ministry of Transportation, Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development of the Republic of Indonesia, National Development Planning Agency of Indonesia and DAMRI (Indonesian state-owned bus operator).
The visit aimed to exchange knowledge and learn from Thailand’s experience in electric bus deployment and low-carbon transportation development, which can support public transport development in Indonesia.
During the meeting, Dr. Nuwong presented an overview of NSTDA and ENTEC’s research and technology development activities. Representatives from the Sustainable EV Industry Development Working Group (Battle-EV) also shared progress on key projects, including the GEF-7 project “Accelerating the Adoption and Life-Cycle Solutions to Electric Mobility in Thailand” and the “Coordinating and Managing Entity (CME) Platform for Carbon Management from Electric Vehicle Usage” project under PMU-C “MHESI for EV”.
In addition, Dr. Kraison Aunchaleevarapan, Director of Electrical and Electronic Products Testing Center (PTEC) demonstrated testing equipment supporting EV parts in compliance with various standards and discussed future collaboration opportunities in technology development, capacity building, and electric mobility initiatives to support the transition to low-carbon transportation in Indonesia.
