On February 2, 2024, at the BITEC (Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre), Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously presided over the opening of the “Thailand Inventors’ Day 2024,” commemorating the 24th consecutive year of the event. This ceremony was held as part of His Royal Highness’s involvement in the presentation of honors and certificates to the recipients of the National Research Awards. The theme for this year’s Inventors’ Day was “Inventions and Innovations Leading the Nation.” It served as an annual reflection on historical significance, paying tribute to the auspicious occasion of the granting of the patent for the ” The Chaipattana Aerator Project” to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, the Father of Thai Inventions. The event showcased over 1,000 inventions presented by Thai and international inventors from February 2-6, 2024.
On this occasion, Professor Dr. Sukit Limpijumnong, President of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), and Dr. Sumittra Charojrochkul, ENTEC’s executive director, along with executives, extended their congratulations to the researchers from NSTDA who received awards in various categories. A total of 23 awards were received, with the National Energy Technology Center receiving awards for two inventions:
- Somsak Supasitmongkol and the team from the National Energy Technology Center received an honorary mention for the invention titled “Encase: an innovative electrolyte disinfectant generator” in the category of Medical Sciences.
- Chatwarin Poochai and the team from the Technology Center for National Security and Commercialization received a good level award for the invention titled “ZafeBat – Safe, Non-Explosive, and Environmentally Friendly Battery” in the category of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
