As part of a project from “The Information Technology Foundation under the Initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn (PSIT)”to provide life-long learning for communities in marginal areas, National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC) held a youth group activity “Do-It-Yourself LED Lamp Set” at 18th NSTDA Annual Conference (NAC2023) on 30 March 2023, 09:00-12:00, following the opening remarks by ENTEC Executive Director Dr.Sumittra Charojrochkul. The activity, supervised by Dr.Aswin Hongsingthong (project leader and researcher from Solar Photovoltaic Research Team), stemmed from the issue of lack of access to electricity, as well as lighting, in remote communities.
A total of 50 students from Chachoengsao (Datdaruni School, Benchamaratrungsarit 2 School, Phanom Sarakham Phanom Adun Wittaya School) and Rayong (Klaeng”Wittayasathaworn” School), parts of the Eastern Economic Corridor of Innovation (EECi), participated in the activity designed to not only provide hands-on experience but also promote teamwork skills. LED lamp sets made by the students will be provided to the communities in marginal areas.
