2026.05.06 KKU Faculty and Students Visit ENTEC Laboratories to Enhance Knowledge in Hydrogen and Solar Cell Technologies

On May 6, 2026, the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), NSTDA, welcomed faculty members and students from the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Khon Kaen University (KKU). The visit aimed to provide academic insights into sustainable energy innovations through guided tours of ENTEC’s research laboratories.

Dr. Vituruch Goodwin, Senior International Relations Officer, represented the center in welcoming the delegation. She delivered an overview of ENTEC’s operations, core missions, and its pivotal role in driving Thailand’s clean energy technologies in the current landscape.

During the visit, Dr. Taweewat Krajangsang, Researcher, together with the Solar Photovoltaic Research Team, presented advancements in solar energy. Key highlights included the development of Perovskite Solar Cells (PSCs), the “SEESOLAR” solar panel innovation for agricultural applications, and “Solar Sure,” a dedicated platform for inspecting and managing decommissioned solar panels.

In addition, Ms. Kanokwan Maikaew and Mr. Nayos Sirisoot, Research Assistant from the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Research Team, provided an in-depth briefing on hydrogen technology innovations. The presentation covered the entire value chain, from production processes to practical applications designed to support the nation’s goal of achieving Net Zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions.

This visit not only enriched the students’ extracurricular learning experiences but also underscored ENTEC’s role as a national research hub. By actively supporting the academic sector, ENTEC continues to foster high-potential human resources and drive clean energy innovations for the country’s sustainable development.
