2026.05.08 ENTEC Welcomes EU and GIZ Delegation to Strengthen Sustainable Energy Partnerships

On May 8, 2026, at Thailand Science Park, Pathum Thani

Dr. Nuwong Chollacoop, Acting Deputy Executive Director of the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), together with ENTEC’s researchers, welcomed delegates from the European Union (EU) and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) for a visit and discussions on strategic collaboration in energy technology, clean energy transition, and sustainable development.

The meeting aimed to exchange expertise and research experiences in the development and application of clean energy technologies. A key focus was placed on Energy Transition Infrastructure, a critical pillar for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and driving Thailand toward its targets of Carbon Neutrality and Net Zero Emissions through synergistic partnerships between research institutions, international organizations, and the industrial sector.

During the session, the delegations engaged in technical exchanges on Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and Hydrogen Technology. This was followed by a site visit to ENTEC’s research facilities, showcasing innovations in the hydrogen technology value chain, including hydrogen production, storage, and utilization as a future clean energy source as well as fuel cell technologies and energy systems that support decarbonization in the energy and industrial sectors.

In addition, both parties explored potential opportunities for collaboration in research and development, technology transfer, capacity building and international networking to further promote the practical deployment of clean energy technologies and innovations. Ultimately, these collaborative efforts are expected to foster a low-carbon economy and support Thailand’s long-term sustainable growth.
