2026.08.28 ENTEC Congratulates Dr. Nattanai Khunanusont on Receiving the Thailand-Japan Friendship Honorary Award 2026

The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), led by Dr. Pimpa Limthongkul, Director of the Energy Innovation Research Group and representative of the ENTEC Executive Director, extended congratulations to Dr. Nattanai Khunanusont, a researcher with the Energy Storage Technology Research Team, ENTEC, on receiving the Thailand-Japan Friendship Honorary Award 2026 from the Embassy of Japan in Thailand. The award was presented during NIPPON HAKU BANGKOK 2026.

The Thailand-Japan Friendship Honorary Award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to strengthening friendship and fostering closer relations between Thailand and Japan. Dr. Nattanai earned his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees from Tokyo Institute of Technology (now Institute of Science Tokyo) and previously served as President of the Thai Students’ Association in Japan under the Royal Patronage (TSAJ). Through this role, he played an important part in promoting cultural exchange and enhancing mutual understanding among Thai and Japanese youth.

Recognized as a prominent expert in energy storage systems and battery innovation in Thailand, Dr. Nattanai has made significant contributions to the advancement of battery research, clean energy technologies, and policy. He has actively bridged research, industry, and policymaking communities, supporting Thailand’s energy transition while strengthening scientific and technological cooperation between Thailand and Japan.
