On 15 October 2026, at Furama Resort Danang, Da Nang, Viet Nam
Dr. Pimpa Limthongkul, Director of the Energy Innovation Research Group at the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), and President of the Thailand Energy Storage Technology Association (TESTA), participated in “Women Innovating for ASEAN: Shaping the Future through Science and Technology.”
Held as a side event of the 90th Meeting of the ASEAN Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation (COSTI-90), the event was organized with the involvement of Viet Nam’s Ministry of Science and Technology, UL Research Institutes, and UL Standards & Engagement. It brought together women leaders, scientists, researchers, innovators, policymakers, and regional partners to promote inclusive innovation, leadership, mentorship, and collaboration across ASEAN.
Dr. Pimpa was invited to deliver the featured address, “Women Shaping ASEAN’s Future through Science and Technology,” and participate in the panel discussion, “Women Innovating for ASEAN.” Drawing on her experience as the winner of the 2023 ASEAN-U.S. Science Prize for Women and her leadership in energy research and innovation, she shared her perspectives across three key themes: Personal Reflections, Energy Storage Discovery, and S&T Journey Leading to Impact. These themes highlighted her personal experiences as a scientist, the exploration and development of energy storage technologies, and the journey of translating scientific and technological expertise into meaningful impact.
Her participation reflects ENTEC’s commitment to international scientific collaboration, energy innovation, and advancing women’s contributions to science and technology in support of a sustainable future for the ASEAN region.
