ENTEC, assisted the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Thailand in conducting scoping mission meetings on just energy transition with various Thai stakeholders to gather insights on opportunities and challenges in Thailand

From April 1 to April 4, 2024, the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), led by Dr. Nuwong Chollacoop and his team, Dr. Kampanart Silva and Mr. Pidpong Janta, assisted the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Thailand in conducting scoping mission meetings on just energy transition with various Thai stakeholders to gather insights on opportunities and challenges in Thailand.

Throughout these meetings, a wide array of relevant stakeholders participated, including the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE), Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTP), Office of the Energy Regulatory Commission (OERC), Department of Climate Change and Environment (DCCE), Department of Child and Youth (DCY), Energy Policy and Planning Office (EPPO), Foundation for Climate Protection and Carbon Offset, Energy Research Institute (ERI), Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Electric Vehicle Association of Thailand (EVAT), Department of Women’s Affairs and Family Development (DWF), Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO), Kasikornbank, Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA), Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), Department of Rail Transport (DRT), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), Bangkok Metropolitan Authority (BMA), Bangkok Bank, United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and Thailand Science Research Innovation (TSRI).
