2026.06.05-01 ENTEC Participates in ALCTIC Low Carbon Inno Week in Shanghai, China

From 1–5 June 2026, the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), participated in the ALCTIC Low Carbon Inno Week in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China. The ENTEC delegation was led by Dr. Nuwong Chollacoop, Acting Deputy Executive Director of ENTEC, together with Dr. Visarn Lilaivat, Researcher, and Mr. Phumanan Niyomna, Research Assistant from the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Research Team.

The event, organized by the Shanghai Science and Technology Exchange Center (SSTEC), brought together members of the Alliance of Belt and Road Low Carbon Technology Innovation and Cooperation (ALCTIC) to strengthen international collaboration in low-carbon technologies and sustainable innovation.

During the event, Dr. Nuwong delivered a presentation entitled “Thailand’s Latest Research and Technological Innovation, Development Pathways and Practices in the Battery and Photovoltaic Sector,” highlighting Thailand’s recent advancements and development strategies in battery and solar energy technologies. Dr. Visarn presented “Hydrogen from Biogas Reforming for Hydrogenation and Upgrading in the Alcohol-to-Jet SAF Process,” showcasing ENTEC’s research on hydrogen production from biogas for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) applications.

The ENTEC delegation also exchanged knowledge, experiences, and perspectives with international experts on low-carbon technologies, including green fuel technologies and carbon capture technologies.

Participation in ALCTIC Low Carbon Inno Week further strengthened ENTEC’s international research networks, while also creating opportunities for collaboration with overseas partners. The event also provided valuable insights and recommendations for advancing low-carbon energy technologies, supporting efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and contributing to Thailand’s goals of achieving Carbon Neutrality and Net Zero Emissions in the future
