2026.06.04 ENTEC Joins Discussions with Baoshan District Investment Promotion Office to Exchange Knowledge on Clean Energy and Strengthen Regional Collaboration

The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), participated in the “Baoshan–Overseas New Materials and New Energy Industry Exchange and Matchmaking Meeting.” The ENTEC delegation was led by Dr. Nuwong Chollacoop, Acting Deputy Executive Director of ENTEC, accompanied by Dr. Visarn Lilavivat, Researcher, and Mr. Phumanan Niyomna, Research Assistant from the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Research Team. The meeting was held under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative and jointly organized by the Alliance of Belt and Road Low Carbon Technology Innovation and Cooperation (ALCTIC) and the Shanghai Science and Technology Exchange Center (SSTEC).

The event brought together more than 30 scholars and business representatives from over 10 countries, including Kazakhstan, Russia, Thailand, Bulgaria, Uzbekistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Morocco, Pakistan, and Myanmar. Participants exchanged knowledge and experiences while exploring opportunities to strengthen international cooperation in economic development, trade, science, technology, and innovation, with a particular focus on supporting the growth of Baoshan District’s leading industries.

During the meeting, Dr. Nuwong delivered a presentation entitled “Thailand’s Latest Research and Technological Innovation, Development Pathways and Practices in the Battery and Photovoltaic Sectors.” The presentation highlighted Thailand’s recent advancements in clean energy technologies and provided insights into future trends and development pathways for the battery and photovoltaic sectors. The discussion also served as a platform for knowledge exchange and the development of international research networks, reflecting ENTEC’s commitment to supporting a sustainable energy transition through regional and global collaboration.
